Spiced Apple Sangria
  • 1 bottle The Dreaming Tree Red wine (I used Crush Red Blend)
  • ¼ cup bourbon
  • ½ cup white sugar, add as much or less according to how sweet you want
  • 2 oranges, thinly sliced
  • 1 apple, thinly sliced
  • Juice from 1-2 limes as per taste
  • Fresh ginger, peeled and thinly sliced (about 8-10, 2" long matchstick sort of slices)
  • 1-2 cinnamon stick
  • Fresh rosemary for decoration (optional)
  1. In a large jug, add wine, bourbon and sugar. Stir until sugar is dissolved. Now add all the fruits, lime juice, cinnamon and ginger & stir around. Taste and adjust sweetness or tartness by adding sugar/lime as per your taste. Cover and chill in refrigerator for few hours before serving.
  2. Serve chilled.
