Detox Slaw

Veggies
  • 1.5 cups purple cabbage, shredded as fine as possible
  • 1.25 cups green cabbage, shredded as fine as possible
  • 1 medium carrot, shredded
  • ⅛ cup yellow onion, chopped
  • 2 tbsp black sesame seeds, toasted
Tahini dressing
  • 1 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 2 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • ½ Tbsp. liquid honey (or agave, maple syrup)
  • 2 tbsp tahini
  • ¼ cup water
  • Salt to taste (depending on whether or not your tahini is already salted)
Instructions
  1. In a big bowl, mix all the vegetables together.
  2. Mix the dressing ingredients together in another small bowl and stir till you get a uniform paste. Add more water if needed to achieve the desired consistency.
  3. In a hot skillet, add sesame seeds and toast them till they start jumping out of the skillet.
  4. Pour dressing over the vegetables. Garnish with toasted sesame seeds and serve.
