Guys!!!This has to be one of my all time favorite posts ever!! I mean it’s all about stuff I love to buy from Trader joe’s, what I have tried, liked/disliked, my new finds and so on. Ok so I used to go to Trader Joe’s a lot earlier like easily 1-2 times a week and sometimes even 2-3 times a week when we used to live in Dallas. That because it was super close to our place and sometimes I would just go just so I can hang out and look at all the fun new stuff they have! But since we moved to St.Louis, I rarely went to trader joe’s in last one year but then finally went in October and it was HEAVEN. It’s now a 30 minutes drive from our place and things are not as easy with a baby as they used to be when it was just the 2 of us.
But I picked up lots of new stuff, some old favorites and I plan on going atleast 1-2 times a month so I can keep updating this post. So here we go with my favorite Trader Joe’s products list.
- Fresh Fruits
I love stocking up on fresh fruits from Trader Joe’s. They are always fresh, good quality and at a reasonable price.
Even though I mostly buy organic milk, whenever I am at Trader Joe’s for some reason I buy their local milk and even though it’s not organic, always feel good drinking it.
3. Habanero Ghost Pepper Salsa
OMG! I bought this salsa for the first time and usually I am always hesitant when it comes to buying ready made salsas because they are never spicy enough and always lack flavor. But not this one my friends! If you love spicy, this is a MUST BUY!!
Yes! That’s how it is shopping with a 16 month old!! lol Btw I have always bought fresh chicken, fish from them and we love them. They are antibiotics and hormone free. Sometimes I buy extra and keep few packets in freezer just so I have for when I need.
5. Organic Acai Puree Packets
This is something I always buy and keep in freezer for our smoothies. These organic acai puree packets are much cheaper compared to other places and they come in indivisual 4 3.5 oz packets which are perfect size to just open and add in blender jar for smoothies.
6. Roasted Coconut Chips
Another all time favorite product I pick up from here. These are lightly sweetened, super crunchy and so so good for snacking! I easily finish one packet after doing my grocery shopping on the car ride back home lol. These are dangerous to keep around as they never last but sooo GOOD!
7. Roasted Plantain Chips
I pick them up for Ronak as he loves plantain chips. These are really delicious and usually we stick to basic salted version. So good for late night snacking while watching Netflix.
8. Organic Maca Powder
Ronak actually saw this and he’s been wanting to try it for a while in our smoothies, so picked up one packet last night. So the taste is little weird, I used once in our smoothies and I felt first it had a little weird aftertaste which after few sips seemed like a chocolate aftertaste. So it’s a hit or miss product.
9. Garlic Naan
Usually I love making homemade naan but then there are days I don’t want to be in the kitchen for like forever but still want to eat something really good & indulging. That’s when these naan’s come to rescue. These are frozen so when ready to eat, I slight thaw them in microwave and then warm them up on a skillet. So good!
10. Chicken Sausage
We tried them way back like 2-3 years back and this time picked these again as we totally forgot. So these are good but for us there is too much fennel flavor in these which we don’t really like but some of you might really like. Great though as I just crisp them on a skillet with little oil and serve with a big salad for lunch.
11. Dark Chocolate Covered Almonds
Classic snack. VERY VERY VERY GOOD if you love dark chocolate & almonds!
I just love picking up cheese from there. Always getting our regular mozzarella, cheese slices for sandwiches, goat cheese to snack with honey or grape jam and always always trying out some new cheese varieties! They always have so many options! This time we tried – cheese infused with wine and it’s so good for snacking. As you can see, there is a theme here. We are snack lovers!
13. Aloo Chaat Kati Pouches
If you love Indian food, you will love these! To be honest I don’t really like eating too much of these kind of frozen foods as they always have so much sodium. I buy these like 1-2 times a year and keep in freezer for when I have hungry kids coming to our place or for days I can’t bother to cook anything and take out options don’t seem interesting.
My little monster at work lol!!
Ok so these are just some of the things I buy from Trader joe’s. I also like buying eggs, vegetables, salads, bread, frozen edamame, once in a while frozen veggie gyozos and so on. I will be updating this post atleast once every month and adding more products.
What are your favorite things to buy from Trader Joe’s which I need to try?! Leave in comments 🙂
