  • 2-1/4 cups all purpose flour
  • 1.5 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp cinnamon
  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened to room temperature
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • ¾ cup brown sugar
  • 1.5 tsp vanilla
  • ½ tsp lemon juice
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 cups semi sweet chocolate chips
  • 8-10 oreos, crushed
Instructions
  1. Grind oats in food processor until flour like.
  2. Add oat flour, all purpose flour, salt, baking soda and cinnamon in a bowl and stir.
  3. In the bowl of an electric mixer, cream butter, both sugars, vanilla and lemon juice until creamy and mixed through. To it add eggs one at a time and keep mixing.
  4. Add the dry ingredients to the wet mix and mix well until combined. Fold chocolate chips.
  5. Chill the dough for upto an hour or longer covered.
  6. Before baking let the dough sit at room temperature for 30 minutes or so.
  7. Put parchment paper in a rectangle or square baking tray. Size of the tray will depend upon how thick or thin you want to make the dough layers so choose accordingly. Add half of the cookie dough and spread it on the parchment paper evenly. Add crushed oroes and cover the entire surface. Add remaining cookie dough.
  8. Bake in a 350F preheated oven for good 15-18 minutes until cooked. It will seem to be soft and kind of uncooked. But don't worry. Once it cools, it will all come together.
  9. Enjoy and once completely cooled, store in an airtight container.
