Peanut Butter Banana Oatmeal

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1.5 - 2 cups water
  • Pinch of salt
  • Honey or sweetener as per taste
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 2-3 tbsp milk
  • 1 banana
  • 1 tbsp peanut butter
  1. Cook oats as per package directions. Sometimes if I remember, I soak oats in water which to me feels like it shortens the cooking time and oats get super creamy.
  2. So In a pot I add oats plus 1.5-2 cups water and bring them to a boil. Lower the gas and let them simmer until all the water is almost absorbed and they are soft, mushy and creamy. If you feel they are still hard, add more water and continue cooking.
  3. Take out half of the oats in a bowl and add banana sliced up, peanut butter, milk, honey and cinnamon and mix well. Taste and adjust to your baby's liking.
